Anzac Day is commemorated throughout Australia on 25 April every year.The acronym ANZAC means the Australian New Zealand Army Corps and goes back to the Gallipoli landings, fighting, carnage and mateship in the First World War. Today all war veterans and peace keepers are honoured and remembered, usually with parades and services on this day.
