You can travel the Ord River by boat from Lake Argyle to Kununurra. It is inhabited by freshwater crocodiles and small fruit bats as well as an abundance of birdlife. The diverion of the river forms Lake Argyle the biggest man-made lake in Australia and provides all the irrigation for the huge agricultural industry in the region.
